The Archive of Early American Images

The Archive of Early American Images is designed "to assist historians in their quest for contemporary images to illustrate their research findings and to facilitate the study of historical images in their own right and in proper context." This image database contains numerous images that have visual documentation related to the Americas in the period before 1825.


Say it Plain: A Century of Great African American Speeches

American Radio Works has produced a number of provocative and thoughtful radio documentaries. Visitors to the site can listen to the documentary in its entirety, or choose to listen to selected speeches, such as those by Booker T. Washington, Dick Gregory, and Stokely Carmichael. Visitors can also follow along as they listen by scanning transcriptions of each speech.
